Earlier this week, the Feinstein Institute presented the 2015 Ross Prize in Molecular Medicine to Dr. Lewis C. Cantley. The Prize, which includes a $50,000 gift, was formally presented to Dr. Cantley at the New York Academy of Sciences in Manhattan, and was followed by an academic lecture by Dr. Cantley and other preeminent researchers.
The speakers, who all focused on how to harness cell signaling pathways to treat cancer, were:
- Lewis C. Cantley, PhD, the Meyer Director of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medical College and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital;
- José Baselga, MD, PhD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center;
- and Harold Varmus, MD, Weill Cornell Medical College
