Feinstein Institute Investigator and NY Legislators Support $1B Bond for Alzheimer’s Research

The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research hosted US Rep. Steve Israel, State Assemblyman Charles Lavine and Senator David Carlucci, along with representatives from Cold Spring Harbor Labs, the Alzheimer’s Association, Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation and Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, to discuss a $1 billion bond issue funding medical research in Alzheimer’s disease. At an estimated cost of $7 per resident per year, $100 million in research funding would be available annually for a decade.
