Neuroblastoma Biology Studies (00.10.181T)

Protocol ID

00.10.181T

Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to collect samples of tumor, blood and/or bone marrow to learn more about neuroblastoma. We are asking participants' permission to use some of the tumor tissue that is not needed for diagnosis for some specialized laboratory tests. In addition to these studies, the Neuroblastoma Reference Laboratory will perform 2 standard studies measuring the amount of DNA (genetic material) in the tumor cells as well as whether multiple copies of a gene called "MYCN" are present in the tumor cells. The results of these tests may be used by the study doctor to find the best therapy for participating patients and will be part of their medical record.
