Multiple Sclerosis - Diffusion Tensor MRI Correlates of Depression
Protocol ID
03.02.084T
Protocol Description
The purpose of this study is to see whether subtle changes in specific pathways of the brain may lead to depression in people with multiple sclerosis.
We will be using a noninvasive technique called diffusion tensor MRI to generate pictures of the brain. We will be comparing four different groups of people: patients with multiple sclerosis and depression, patients with multiple sclerosis without depression, patients with depression without multiple sclerosis, and people without multiple sclerosis or depression.
This study does not involve any treatment.
Eligibility Criteria
Patients with multiple sclerosis with or without depression, patients with depression without multiple sclerosis, and normal healthy controls.
