Protocol Description

This study will evaluate the use of a healthy lifestyle guide, either alone or together with a medication called metformin (Glucophage®; used to control high blood sugar), for the prevention of weight gain and changes in how the body uses food (called metabolic changes) that often occur when children and adolescents are treated with antipsychotic medications.

Eligibility Criteria

Children and adolescents being treated with antipsychotic medications
