Combining Medications to Enhanced Depression Outcomes (COMED)

Protocol ID

07.04.133

Protocol Description

The purpose of this research is to find better ways to help patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), commonly known as depression. This study will compare the effects treatment with a combination of antidepressant medications to treatment with a single medication.  In addition, we will ask participants to allow us to gather medical information, genetic material or DNA, and biomarkers (from plasma in blood samples) to help scientists learn more about how genes and biomarkers affect the development of depression.
