Randomized Double-Blind Trial of  Liothyronine (T3) Augmentation to Quetiapine vs Placebo Augmentation to Quetiapine for The Treatment of Bipolar Depression

Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the thyroid hormone, liothyronine (T3), used as an augmentation to quetiapine, may improve symptoms of depression that are associated with bipolar disorder.

Eligibility Criteria

Patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder taking  lithium or valproate or tegretol for at least 4 weeks
