Protocol Description

The purpose of this study is to learn about the effects of treating acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) with chemotherapy. One of the main experimental purposes of this study is to study the effects, good and/or bad, of maintenance therapy, compared to no further treatment.

Eligibility Criteria

Patients with low or intermediate risk acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) that has never been treated
