The Genetics of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Protocol Description
The purpose of this study is to examine the inheritance patterns of inflammatory bowel disease, comprised of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In order to identify disease-causing genes, we want to study DNA, RNA, and proteins that are responsible for the transmission of genetic information from parents to their descendents.
Eligibility Criteria
Patients with inflammatory bowel disease and their relatives
