Cynthia L. Hahn is the Administrator Research Compliance for the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she serves as the Human Subject Protections Administrator for the IRB, the Privacy Officer for Research, Chair of the Conflicts of Interest in Research Committee and Vice Chair of the Human Subject Protections Program Advisory Committee (HuSPPAC). Ms. Hahn has over fourteen years of experience in the design, conduct and implementation of clinical research protocols including work as a clinical research coordinator in substance abuse/mental health research for the National Institute on Drug Abuse's medication development program, regulatory support for the biotechnology industry, as well as grant and human subject compliance activities for academic medical centers.  Ms. Hahn has served as a co-investigator on two NIH grants aimed at improving the environment of research compliance at academic medical centers, was one of the first in the nation to receive certification as an IRB professional (CIP), is an active member of Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIMR), and served on the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) Network Neighborhood for Compliance.

Emmelyn Kim is the Director of Research Compliance for the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she oversees the auditing and monitoring program for quality assurance and improvement, evaluates compliance risk through development and analysis of metrics, and provides education to the research community. She also conducts research billing audits and other grant or financial management reviews. Emmelyn began her career in research as a research coordinator for cardiovascular and diabetes studies and was also involved in minority health outreach initiatives prior to joining the Health System in 2005. She has a masters in psychology, concentrating in health, from Boston University; a masters in public health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, and is a member of the first charter class to receive a certification in public health.

Cerdi Beltré is a manager in the Office of Research Compliance for the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she is involved in auditing and monitoring research sites for quality assurance and improvement and providing education to the investigative community. Cerdi graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor's degree with honors in psychology and began her career in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Health Sciences Center at Stony Brook University. From 1998 to 2006 she worked as a research coordinator at the Division of Rheumatology and Allergy Clinical Immunology at the NSLIJ Health System. In 2006 she became an IRB manager in the Office of the Institutional Review Board. She is certified as an IRB professional and clinical research coordinator.

Evelyn Huang is a manager in the Office of Research Compliance for the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she is involved in auditing and monitoring research sites for quality assurance and improvement, and providing education to the investigative community. Evelyn finished her medical residency and graduated from a Medical College in China with a bachelor’s degree in Medicine in 1998. She began her career in research as a research coordinator for Hematology Oncology Phase I-III studies at the Saint Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2008. She was also involved in the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium’s multi-center projects. She joined the Health System as a research data manager in the Division of GYN Oncology in 2009. She has a masters in public health from Lehman College School of Public Health in 2009 and is certified as a clinical research coordinator.

Gerry Kassoff is the Coordinator of Time & Effort under Research Compliance for the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she oversees the certification of reported percentage of effort that individuals devote to all of their activities in the health system, when any part of their effort is devoted to a grant-funded project. Gerry has been with the Health System for over thirty years. Prior to her current position, she worked at the Office of the IRB as a coordinator/specialist involved in various activities to facilitate timely submission and review of IRB protocols.

Tina Chuck is the Policy Specialist in the Office of Research Compliance for the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she is involved in the development and implementation of research policy and educational programs to the investigative and public communities. Tina has worked at some of New York City’s most prestigious research and academic medical centers and has extensive experience in health care administration, research administration, and quality improvement. Her career mission is to improve the quality of patient care through education, research and technology. Tina received her bachelor of science degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she majored in Health Care Systems: Management & Technology.  She has a masters in public health from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
