The Office of Technology Transfer is a service department that works with investigators within The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and North Shore-LIJ Health System to secure patent protection for their inventions. The office then facilitates commercial interactions, accelerating the development of basic and clinical research discoveries into products and services that will have an impact on human health and disease. In addition to developing licensing opportunities for Feinstein Institute inventions, the Office of Technology Transfer is particularly interested in cultivating new business ventures to exploit platform technologies conceived by Feinstein investigators. The Office is also responsible for contract compliance in the Institute’s commercial relationships.
