OGC - Research Funding Opportunities

The Office of Grants and Contracts actively seeks, identifies and disseminates funding opportunity information to members of the research community, department heads, division chiefs and other interested individuals, on a regular basis.The office utilizes several methods to gather funding information. These include: subscriptions to searchable databases; list services; newsletters and notifications received via posted mail or e-mail from foundations and agencies. The information is gathered and circulated to appropriate departments and individuals.

Searchable Databases

The OGC subscribes to the following two scientific databases. Search criteria include: Sponsor, Title, Abstract, Deadline/Amount, Eligibility, Descriptor, Activity Location, Citizenship, Funding Type and Sponsor Type.

Both are updated daily and contain comprehensive funding information as it relates to research and collaborative activities for the scientific research community:

Community of Science (COS) Funding Opportunities Database

COS Funding Opportunities is a large, comprehensive research funding database on the Web. Updated daily, COS Funding Opportunities includes more than 22,000 records, representing over 400,000 funding opportunities.

COS Funding Opportunities is used to identify funding information as it relates to research, collaborative activities, travel, curriculum development, conferences, fellowships, post-doctoral positions, equipment acquisition, operating and capital expenses, and more.

Funding opportunities can be found by choosing one of the following types of searches:Main Search, Simple Search, Browse Sponsors,Search by Keyword or Search Geographically. After selecting one of these search modes, enter your criteria and follow the instructions given.
