Women with Epilepsy - Pregnancy Outcomes and Deliveries - WEPOD

Protocol Description
Pregnant women, with or without epilepsy, are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by the Harvey Cushing Institutes of Neuroscience (part of the North Shore-LIJ Health System). Study visits will be conducted at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. It will last the entire duration of pregnancy and involve interviews, brief physical and neurological examinations, blood draws, and completion of self-report diaries on an iPod Touch. There is no cost to participate in the study. Participants will be compensated for their time. Upon completion of the study, participants will be allowed to keep the iPod Touch.
Eligibility Criteria
• Women between 18-40 years old
• In general good health OR have a diagnosis of epilepsy
• Planning to get pregnant
• Not using any form of birth control
