ZHH Healthy Volunteer Studies
Zucker Hillside Hospital Healthy Volunteers Research Studies
The participation of healthy subjects is very important in scientific research. In investigations of psychiatric disorders, various patient factors (e.g., genes, symptoms, environment) are frequently compared to those of healthy subjects. Additionally, it is important to understand the variables that underlie healthy development so that we can better identify when development starts to go awry. As such, investigators at the Zucker Hillside Hospital are often looking for healthy volunteers to participate in research studies.
Two of our ongoing research studies are currently recruiting healthy volunteers:
• Researchers of the Healthy Volunteers Project are recruiting healthy participants, for a number of studies, to serve as point of comparison for several patient factors.
• Researchers for the Comprehensive Assessment of Neurodevelopment in Youth (CANDY) study are particularly interested in learning more about the processes that underlie typical neurodevelopment and are seeking children who are 8-17 years of age.
If you are interested in learning more about either of these studies or would like to enroll as a participant, please visit the two links listed above or to the right.
