The federal government requires reporting of all time and effort committed to a sponsored program in order to document the effort performed. Effort reports document when an individual is compensated by or has agreed to contribute time to a federally sponsored project.
This policy applies to all Northwell Health employees who devote effort to grants, regardless of funding source. The health system is currently in the process of installing and implementing electronic time and effort reports.
