The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research supports a variety of state-of-the-art scientific core facilities that provide services to investigators. The scientific core facilities assist investigators with their research and promote the highest quality research. The facilities are staffed with full-time professionals who can assist with training in use of the instruments, conduct of the assays and analysis of the data.
Rafael Gama, PhD, serves as director of Scientific Core Services at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, and oversees the overall scientific management of the operations for all core services. With over 17 years of experience, his career began in the field working as a senior consultant at the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics at The Karolinska Institute. He has also worked as technical director of the Functional Genomics Facility at University of Chicago and director of Core Facilities at City of Hope and Beckman Research Institute.
