The Feinstein Institute Press is owned and operated by The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research (Manhasset, NY), which is composed of more than 1,500 clinicians, scientists and staff who work in collaboration with the many facilities of Northwell Health. The Institute is a collaboration of creative thinkers who share a singular focus of advancing science to prevent disease and cure patients.
Feinstein Institute Press was instituted to further disseminate scientific knowledge. It publishes two Open Access, international, peer-reviewed journals: Molecular Medicine and Bioelectronic Medicine.
Molecular Medicine strives to understand normal body functioning and disease pathogenesis at the molecular level. This knowledge may be used by researchers and physician-scientists in the design of specific molecular tools for the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention of disease.
Manuscript submission types include Research Articles, Review Articles, Editorials, Commentaries and Letters to the Editor.
The 2014 Journal Citation Report® (JCR), showing impact factors calculated from citations of articles published in 2012 and 2013, lists Molecular Medicine with an impact factor of 4.508. JCR category rankings are as follows: Medicine, Research & Experimental 20/123, Cell Biology 58/184, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology 64/290.
Bioelectronic Medicine combines molecular medicine, bioengineering, and neuroscience to discover and develop nerve stimulating and sensing technologies to regulate biological processes and treat disease.
Manuscript submission types include Research Article, Brief Communication, Review Article, Commentary, and Letter to the Editor. Ethical, legal and financial issues related to bioelectronic medicine and device development are also considered.
